There was a flurry of backslapping in the boardroom as Paramount Pictures pressed fleshed and sealed a deal with Facebook to become the first major studio to let clips from its huge back catalogue be made available on the Internet.
The partnership will see Los Angeles-based developer FanRocket launching, nay unleashing, the VooZoo application on Facebook, giving users access to footage from thousands of movies, including blockbusters like “The Ten Commandments” and “Forrest Gump.”

The BBC iPlayer service, that lets UK TV licence players watch selected piece of content that have been shown on TV in the proceeding fourteen days, is going to be usable and playable on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch using WiFi connections.

You know the dilemma. You need a network at home. You find WiFi doesn’t cut it and CAT-5 cabling is a major pain to install.
En-Twyn, a company from London, have a prototype unit showing at CeBit on the Intellon stand (it uses the latest generation of Intellon Powerline chips).
What makes their En-Compass product different is that all of the electronics are incorporated into the back of the socket. It fits into a standard mains back box and you don’t see anything hanging out of the front.

The newly released Neilsen Online figures show that Blogger.com, the blogging service owned by Google, reached 5.1 million user in January.
Over the same period the previously-huge MySpace reached just over 5 million and Bebo a smidgen over 4 million.
