Yahoo Looks For Time Warner Merger. Again.
Instead of going out to the local bar and celebrating with a vat of Budweiser, Yahoo execs spent the US national bank holiday weekend chewing the fat with their lead adviser, Goldman Sachs. Also pulling up a chair at the table were potential bid partners including Time Warner.
The fading search engine giant was getting jiggy with Time Warner in the hope of bagging a merger deal with its Internet arm, AOL, that could be worth as much as $10 billion (£5 billion) according to a report in The Times.

Parents Access Web More Than Kid Free Couples
Parents are far more likely to be regularly accessing the Internet than childless adults, according to new research.
The study, by the European Interactive Advertising Association (EIAA), also claimed that the online activities of parents is influenced by the age of their offspring.
The EIAA Digital Families report confirmed the ruddy obvious – that people with kids generally stay at home more than adults without genetic luggage – and that for parents the Internet is a nifty resource for information and entertainment when you’re stuck in the house.

Mobile Search Revenues To Hit $4.8 Billion by 2013
There’s great pots of cash to be found in them thar mobile search hills, with annual revenues generated by mobile search services expected to reach a pocket-bulging $4.8bn by 2013.
The figures comes from spoddy analyst types Juniper Research, who reckon that local search services are on track to become the biggest hit with advertisers, scooping up 40% of mobile search adspend over the period from 2008-2013.
