The deal will give punters with brand spanking new compatible phones a year’s worth of free access to the Sony BMG music catalogue, with pop-pickers (© Alan ‘Fluff’ Freeman) able to download tracks to both their mobile device and computer via the Nokia Music Store.

Futuresonic, an Urban Festival of Art, Music & Ideas (as they describe it), is being held again this year.
It’s running 1-5 May in Manchester and is looking like a really interesting, rounded event.
Warner Music is making its music catalogue available on music service 7digital in MP3 format, without no content protection.
Having a peruse of the 7digial site, we see that they’re also banging out albums for £5/€6.99 — for a limited period — which for a track-filled album like Hatful of Hollow by the Smiths can be had for 31p per track against the 79p normally paid.
