Lenovo W700ds TV Ads Is Way Wrong
Lenovo’s W700ds, dual screen monster laptop, is an interesting beast, which is much more than can be said for the TV advert they’re using to promote it.
The ad, viewable below, is just so off the mark, it’s shocking.
The premise is well-worn and of weak humour when it was first used – Dorky bloke has a piece of technology that is so impressive that Attractive Girl can’t but throw herself at said Dork.

Roger McNamee — his Elevation Partners invested 20% ($425m) of their fund in Palm two years ago when the WebOS and the Palm Pre were taking shape — spills the beans on how they got involved and importantly how Palm turned itself around from the dark days when even hard-bitten Palm fans struggled to find good news about them.
It’s an interesting interview with great quotes like … “The important things to realise is that this is just the first product.”
Well worth watching.

Janis Krums’ Hudson Tweet: A Game Changer
Janis Krums was heading out of New York at 20:23 last night after a busy day, “Leaving the city, had a great day. Trying to beat the traffic. Wish me luck!” he Tweeted.
Thirteen minutes later he was in a position that he couldn’t have imagined – on a ferry rescuing the passengers of US Airways Flight 1549 that had just ditched into the Hudson River.

Wowser. Nortel, (ex-?)networking giant, have filed for Chapter 11 due to financial difficulties.
In their words …
Nortel made this decision with the unanimous authorization of its Board of Directors after thorough consultation with its advisors and extensive consideration of all other alternatives. This process will allow Nortel to deal decisively with its cost and debt burden, to effectively restructure its operations and to narrow its strategic focus in an effective and timely manner.

Burger King has releases a rather strange Facebook App – Whopper Sacrifice.
In exchange for you un-friending (burning) your Facebook ‘friends,’ it gives you credit towards a Whopper. Burn ten and they’ll give you a burger in the US.

Mac Book Wheel Announced (Video)
Apple has done it again with the announcement of their Mac Book Wheel.
The revolutionary design does away with the pesky keyboard that dominate laptops, replacing it with a single ‘wheel,’ as you’ve seen on their iPod products, further streamlining the look of the machine.
As is quoted in the video Steve Jobs says, “People who use keyboards stand in the way of human progress.”
