LG have announced the imminent launch of their stylish, slimline slider phone, the LG-KF510.
Kitted out in a “Stardust Dark Gray” or “Sunset Red” finish, the LG-KF510 has the waistline of a supermodel at just 10.9mm thick. Those fearing a few beers/back pocket/sit down/doh! phone borked scenario should find some comfort in LG’s claims that it’s a tough little bleeder, with the handset strengthened by a metal frame and the display being made from tempered glass.
It’s been nearly a whole year of waiting, but the big guns at Sigma are insisting that their long overdue and hugely anticipated DP1 digital camera is finally coming around the mountain.

Nikon have added the new D60 digital SLR camera to their range, boasting a 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor, backed by Nikon’s advanced 3-D Colour Matrix Metering II and their ‘digital image processing concept’, EXPEED.
Sharing a similar small form factor to the D40, the D60 offers the usual auto/scene modes, with an In-camera Retouch Menu offering D-lighting, Red-eye correction, Image Trim and, err, adjustable cross-screen star effects.

The whole blinkin’ world is going online shopping crazy, with more than 85 per cent of the planet’s online population using the Internet on to make a purchase.
The figures – which reflect a 40 per cent increase in the market over the past two years – were revealed in the latest Nielsen Global Online Survey on Internet shopping habits.

The thought of having adverts pumping in our ears mid-podcast gives us the trouser shakes, but apparently more than half of our fellow Brits (58%) would be quite happy downloading advertising-funded podcasts.
The figures come from Rajar (Radio Joint Audience Research), the official body in charge of measuring radio audiences in the UK, jointly owned by the BBC and the RadioCentre on behalf of the commercial sector.

Despite desperate price cuts by Toshiba on its HD DVD players in the U.S., research firm Gartner are going all Seven Of Nine and describing their resistance as futile, predicting Blu-ray’s dominance to be complete by the end of 2008 in the consumer market.

We managed to get past our normal near-pathological dislike for Windows Mobile handsets when were reviewed the Palm 500 a while ago.
Considerably assisted by Vodafone’s slick custom interface and the impressive location based services, our stone cold hearts warmed to the Palm, despite the lack of a touch screen and, well, a Palm OS inside. After a week with the phone, we concluded that it was one of the best low/mid end Windows smartphones available.
