New quarterly notebook PC shipment figures by research bods DisplaySearch have revealed that 31 million units were shipped in the first quarter of 2008, with the notebook PC market shrinking 6% over the last quarter, but increasing 35% compared to the same period last year.

Details of Sony Ericssons new range of phones have been leaking all over the Web, with the most interesting being the gaming- orientated F305.
Although it’s low on the usual hi-tech features we’ve grown to love – there’s no Wi-Fi or GPS for starters – the silvery thing packs a built-in accelerometer for Wii-style motion controlled games, and a set of PlayStation-like gaming keys next to the display, with a shortcut key to games.
House Of Lords YouTube Channel Launches
The UK House of Lords, is to launch it’s own YouTube channel.
Previously seen by some as a stuffy, rather stiff institution, it seems like the House of Lords , or The Lords as it’s normally abbreviated to, is trying to update it’s image and become more accessible to the people. All good stuff that should be supported.
Virtual Trainers In A Virtual Mirror: Video
Here’s an interesting video that we grabbed at IFA last year.
The concept? Rather than shops needing to have huge stock of every trainer available, all that would be needed is for a stock of virtual trainers.
This gives the shops a number of advantages. The shops can be considerably smaller, saving money on expensive ground rent; they’ll be able to sell trainers that they don’t have in stock; trainers that don’t even _exist_ can be sold – how good is that for a business?

We all know that the online world has its difficulties with servers every now and again, but T-Mobile are claiming that they we’ve caught them “secretly working on the site.”
