Software
Palm packs a generous package of software with the Centro including the excellent Documents To Go 10 (for reading, editing, creating and syncing full Office 2007 Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files), Pocket Tunes for MP3 playback, and all of the usual Palm PIM applications and utilities.

Around the phone
Looking around the rest of the phone, there’s the trademark convenient silent mode switch at the top, while the left side contains volume up/down buttons and a customisable function key.

BBC iPlayer is coming to the Apple iPhone.
The BBC iPlayer service, that lets UK TV licence players watch selected piece of content that have been shown on TV in the proceeding fourteen days, is going to be usable and playable on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch using WiFi connections.
The hype around Apple — this time it’s the iPhone — continues unabated.
Yesterday, the world’s technology press fell at the knees of the altar of The Steve, as he gave … get ready for it … a _preview_ of version 2.0 of the iPhone OS. Yes … that’s right, not a release, but a preview. Shocking the level of hysteria they can generate isn’t it?
