Dell has introduced the latest addition to the Inspiron Mini family of wee laptops, the Inspiron Mini 12.
Although the company have given this device ‘netbook’ status, with its 12.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) display it looks more like a regular ultraportable laptop to us,

FOWA or the Future of Web Apps, took place at the Excel in Docklands on the 8-10th of October 2008 with the conference running on Thu/Fri.
FOWA was all about Web 2.0 or maybe even Web 3.0 or maybe that’s Web 4.0? Which ever way, it’s about the future of Web apps. You’ll have noticed that the clue is in the name.
After having seen the highly impressive demonstration of Wikitude, we just had to find out more, so Digital-Lifestyles spoke to Philipp Breuss, who has lead the development of Wikitude.
Philipp previously worked for Sony but gave this up to make the development of the Wikitude software which he describes as “the most exciting things that we ever did.”
He’s been building the application for the last year, but as a mobile travel guide for Android that also uses Mobile Google Maps and Text from Wikipedia.

We’re always happy to support legitimate good causes, so it’s great to hear that The Honeypot Charity, that supports vulnerable children and young carers, is running an online auction that runs until 2 November.
Sony Ericsson has adopted them as their charity of choice in the UK & Ireland, so has made over 20 auction items, many of them exclusive and normally money-can’t-buy items, for the auction.
The UK government has named the initial areas around England that will pilot their £300m push to provide computer access from home for school children around the country.
Starting February 2009, 20,000 pupils from low-income families in Suffolk and in Oldham will be offered grants to pay for a computer, software to run on it, a years Internet access and and three years technical support.

With the T-Mobile G1 beginning to drop into clammy hands of eager pre-order customers in America, MySpace has grabbed a piece of Android action by slipping their brand new MySpace mobile app on to the phone.
The MySpace app will get a full trumpets’n’velvet curtain unveiling tomorrow when the G1 formally goes on sale letting mobile MySpace aficionados check out users’ online profiles, check out bands’ music and tour dates and share photos instantly from the handset.
