The UK House of Lords, is to launch it’s own YouTube channel.
Previously seen by some as a stuffy, rather stiff institution, it seems like the House of Lords , or The Lords as it’s normally abbreviated to, is trying to update it’s image and become more accessible to the people. All good stuff that should be supported.
Zattoo is a P2P applications for all three computer platforms (Linux, Mac and Windows) that lets you view live streams of many TV channels.
With more and more online chatters using wireless instant messaging for both personal and business use, it’s not surprising that dodgy types are queuing up to try and eavesdrop on the conversation.
With more users helping themselves to free unencrypted wireless networks in cafes, libraries etc, it’s easier than ever to grab IM passwords as they whizz through the air, IM security is becoming a growing issue.

If you’ve not been into the contacts section of Google Mail recently, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you do, to see that it’s had a pretty major makeover. We might have noticed it earlier, but we avoided using the old contacts system as it was so clunky previously.
As predicted last week on Digital-Lifestyles, Tesco has announced a Mobile VoIP deal with Freshtel, initially a trial.
More details were disclosed at the press conference yesterday.
The most significant feature of the service is that calls will be able to be made from the existing mobile number. This is the first time we’ve heard of a mobile VoIP service offering this. There’s normally a separate number issued when you sign up for a mobile VoIP account.

We’ve known for a while that Google Search has been displaying video results with the ability to expand and play within the search results – in fact it was about a year ago.
Monitise, a company that provides banking and payment service via mobile phones, has announced that it will be offering their services in East Africa.
Much has been written previously about how mobile phones provide the communications — spoken and Internet — to many countries where their physical, in-ground infrastructure falls far behind their wireless links.
Mobile VoIP has been a difficult product to get to the point where the general public accept it, with much of that difficulty being down to configuring the product.
In just over a week, the acceptance by the public and their exposure to mobile VoIP may change.
The great lumbering behemoth that is Google continues to devours UK search engine revenues, cementing its place at the top of the search engine chart by increasing its return on investment (ROI) by 14 per since the last quarter of 2007.
