The UK Office of Fair Trading has issued an Invitation to Comment on the proposed deal of Amstrad being bought by Sky.The OFT does this when they thing that the deal needs to be looked at and is the first stage of possibly taking it further.
We’re sure that this will be welcomed by the various other companies that currently provide Sky with digiboxes around the world, and potentially by other too.

Cycling.tv, UK-based, Internet TV station that covers, not surprisingly, Cycling, has sold to Canadian online broadcaster JumpTV for $5m (£2.48m, E3.66), most of which is in cash.Solwise HomePlug AV Price Drop & Certification
It’s been a busy time for Solwise of late. Near the start of this week their high-speed HomePlug, the AV 200Mbps / PL-200AV, passed the HomePlug AV certification testing at the recent PlugFest in France, giving them the right to display the “HomePlug AV Certified” logo.

I’ve come close to stop using Gmail over the last 6 months or so, after having heavily used it on a daily basis for over two years. It’s has all of my emails for my numerous accounts going through it.
