  1. I would love to get a Joost invite because I find the concept of P2P TV amazing and I would love to see it in action. Review guaranteed :-)

  2. I’d love the Joost Invite, because it’s going to be bigger than youtube and I want to be part of the TEAM who help shape the foundation of the what will be hugely successful network.

  3. I’d love to be invited because I know that ultimately this is a first step in replacing cable TV and thus I want to be part of the historical movement.

  4. I’d love a Joost Invite, simply because Joost is going to be huge and I want to be first in line to test the technology which ultimately will replace cable TV.

  5. I would love to get Joost because I just read about it in Wired, and:
    1) It sounds like the beginning of an amazing Internet revolution.
    2) I understand its been created by the same people that gave us Skype — which I use every day and love.
    3) My cable television company raised its monthly subscription rate again and I’m tired of paying through the nose for privilege of watching the few programs I enjoy on a regular basis.

  6. I’d love the Joost Invite, because i live in Brazil, and the television shows sucks in here! Please, save me! *sad face*

I know it may sound a little patetic, but it’s just the real truth.

  7. I’d love the Joost Invite, simply because I want to try it myself. I’ve read a lot about this new P2P TV technology and… I’ve been searching for weeks for an invitation!! Thanks!

  8. I would love to have a Joost invitation because I am a mac user and that
seems to be the only thing compatible out there.. I would truly appreciate
    it

  9. I would love a Joost invite because I am AMAZED by the way technology influences and affects our business, culture, and society on a daily level (I am working on my graduate degree to teach on this at the University level).

Without a doubt Joost is the next big wave that will dramatically redefine the way we look at entertainment as a global society, and more than anything else I want a front row seat.

Thank You! I hope I get a chance to write that review=)

  10. I’d love the Joost Invite, because the idea behind the program is absolutely fantastic. And as a big TV fan I would love to view high quality shows and programs from all over the world :D

  11. P2P is the only feasible current way to distribute acceptable quality video. Have seen few previous proprietary implementations but nothing packaged well enough for normal users. Would love to see how the fathers of P2P do it.

Will write a technically sound and well reserahced review.

  12. Well, good question.

I’d like an invite because, frankly, I have lived without a TV for neary 15 years now, but am always trying to get clips from my favorite shows online because of the aformentioned lack of Tubiness. Also, I need more content for my blog site, and Joost is certainly going to be the next great advent in direct access content on the web. Its very exciting, and sorely needed in today’s pirating atomosphere.

Why live without a TV? Mostly a conscious decision to have more time, but also I am just sticking with a decision I made many years ago. Of course, I am no great abstainer, as I host a blog and am active elsewhere in the world, just not on my couch.

Joost is perfect, really, a much needed change in how we access media.

  13. I’d love an Joost invite because then I wouldn’t have to fight over the remote with the rest of the family:)

Nah seriously, I’ve been dying to see if it’s as good as i sounds since I first read about it, and get to tell all my friends (who have no invites neither) exactly how great it is, that’s, well, just a bonus.

  14. Please oh please I joost want to praise the world of joost and without an invite i cant do that. If anyone sees this please send me a joost invite. I will pass it on and find a wondering soul looking for joost and invite them.

    Thank you

  15. I’d like a Joost invite, because I just cancelled my cable TV service, bought an Apple TV, and started using Democracy. However, I would like to compare the Joost service with what I’m currently doing all cable-free. I think I’d be a perfect person to write the review in a couple weeks after using the service, hope you do to.

  16. i would love to have an invite as i have been on the joost waiting list since february and i still have not recived one T_T

  17. I’d love the Joost Invite, because I would like to be part of this amazing technology and I believe it will be the foundation for future TV broadcasting. Please send me an invite. Tnank you very much.Tony

  18. I’d love the Joost invite, because Joost is the name of a prominent ex-South African rugby lpayer, so the name reminds me of home… and sport! Technological services such as Joost make the world a smaller place, and it at some point, I will no doubt be able to catch glimpses of South African heroes, as well others from around the world on Joost…

An invitation extended to me, is an invitation to an African nation, only really starting to use broadband, and become exposed to online services like Joost… An untapped market indeed.

  19. I’d love a Joost invite because ….

A man wakes up one morning to find a bear on his roof. So he looks in the phone book and sure enough, there’s an ad for “bear removers.” He calls the number, and the bear remover says he’ll be over in 30 minutes.

The bear remover arrives and gets out of his van. He’s got a ladder, a baseball bat, a shotgun, and a mean old pit bull.

“What are you going to do?” the homeowner asks.

“I’m going to put this ladder up against the roof, then I’m going to go up there and knock the bear off the roof with this baseball bat. When the bear falls off, the pit bull is trained to grab his testicles and not let go. The bear will then be subdued enough for me to put him in the cage in the back of the van.”

He hands the shotgun to the homeowner. “What’s the shotgun for?” asks the homeowner.

The bear remover replies, “If the bear knocks me off the roof, shoot the dog.”

  20. I’d love the Joost Invite, because I’m a programmer on multimedia and p2p projects. I knew the idea of p2p TV a few years ago. Joost declares that it can support a full screen video with H.264 codec. It would be fascinating to try it out.

Please give a chance for me to be a beta tester. I will surely write my review after testing and forward more invitations to people in my community.

    Thanks in advance.

  21. Love the responses so far – thanks.

Given the interest, we’re going to leave it open for the weekend, to give the people who only get time for this type of thing at the weekend to respond, and make the decision on Monday.

  22. I’d love a Joost invite because, hmm, oh yeah I’m using Joost. Only downside it only works on Intel Macs and not PowerPC based ones … it is quite cool and quality is mainly good, though it does break up every now and again.

  23. Alright, I have no clue if people on this web site have any invites left. However, I am one person who BADLY needs a decent IPTV and joost sounds like the only option. Why I need it? I live in London and in a building where they are asking exhorbant amount of money to put sky dish and then the money to have sky. I cannot have cable. Only thing I have is free view and if you have lived all your life on cable it cannot be worse. What I will do in return – I will pay to some charity. I believe in educating everyone in the world so may be I will sponsor one child’s education.

  24. Simon…

I’d love the Joost Invite, because I want to cut the cables with the cable company. I am tired of being at their mercy and am an avid user of all things P2P. I use all of the products the Joost founders have developed (Skype, Kazaa) but was too late in getting Joost when they closed to the public. Through VOIP I have been able to cut the chord with the telco. Please help me in my quest to be free from cable companies.

  25. I’d love the Joost Invite, because I live in Taiwan…and the medias in here is terrible to watch…I would like to see the other TV shows out of this small island. IF this new tech is working so perfect…it’s a lucky thing to everyone in this island.

  26. I’d love the Joost invite, because this is a brand new p2p power source the is used to share common interest with people around the world. globalization rules.

  27. Hi from Barcelona, Spain. If you have any invites left, I will be happy to post on your site or on
other local sites about joost, etc. Thanks.

  28. I would like a joost invite because then I would be able to use my pc as a TV . It will be so cool to watch TV where ever I go with my laptop on side . Please send me a joost invite .

  36. I’d love the Joost Invite, because it opens up a whole new dimension in watching TV when you want and where ever you want. Down here in New Zealand we dont get much contents on TV and i saw the channels on the Joost website. They are from all over the world. I think its a great breakthrough in technology and would surely like to try it.
