MSI have officially announced their new ultra-thin, all-in-one budget nettop, the MSI Wind NetOn AP1900.
Packing a beefy 18.5 inch WSXGA 16:9 display with nippy 5ms Response Time, the MSI is rather a stylish fellow, with its slim, two-tone lines only slightly marred by a little bit too much surrounding bevel for our tastes.
Lurking inside the case is an Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor, with the motherboard supporting up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, and there’s an Intel GMA950 chipset graphics card with up to 228MB shared Memory.
Connectivity-wise, the NetOn AP1900 packs gigabit Ethernet, WiFi b/g, 3 USB 2.0 Ports, a D-Sub video output and a 4-in-1-memory Card reader, and storage comes in the shape of a 160 GB SATA hard-drive and a DVD reader/burner.
There’s also audio in/out jacks, a front facing 1.3 MP camera for all your video-chat needs, plus stereo speakers.
Perhaps more importantly, the AP1900 meets the highest eco-qualifications including the Energy Star Standards, with the unit consuming 86% less than a traditional PC, with a Swampy-pleasing 35W power drain.
The low-noise NetOn AP1900 measures 550 x 420 x 35mm and sits on an adjustable stand. For real bachelor pad cool, you can use the VESA mount to slap it on your wall.
Pricing is yet to be announced, but it’s rumoured to around the $500 mark.
