If you’re planning on ordering a UK train ticket online today, you’re out of luck, by the looks of it.
Digital-Lifestyles reader Sean got in touch with us to let us know that National Rail Enquiries booking site has been offline for a chunk of today.
We’ve given it a spin and when we moved to buy tickets, we also saw the knowck back …
“We are sorry; currently we are unable to give you availability information about fares.
This is due to the National Reservations System being unavailable. Please try again later.”
Sean also mused on whether those tryng to book trains over the phone will get an operator saying “Computer says no.” Good line :)
See thats the 9% price hike in action, a much more stable website. ;)
Good connection! (pun intended).
